Public speaking

I am really proud to be a public speaker giving motivational and inspiring talks as well as delivering challenging and informative speeches on social issues. In some I tell my story to inspire and provoke an alternative school of thought.

I have hosted many events ranging from business, social through to fashion and sport. To name a few: Success in the City, First Women Awards, Empowering Women’s Awards, Kikz Girls tournament Wembley, the FA Club at Wembley, Dancing with Sky Stars, QPR Nike kit launch, Business Awards, BCSC Opal Awards, Adidas Climachill launch and Lynx Apollo launch.

I am really proud to be a public speaker whether speaking on social issues or as a motivational speaker. I have spoken in Parliament on Women’s Rights, sexual and domestic abuse, and getting our next generation active.

I went to Vienna at the end of February 2015 to speak at the European conference ‘Sports Respects Your Rights’. I spoke in front of European policy-makers, sports organisations, stakeholders and scientists. I spoke about my life and career, challenged political and conventional barriers, and called for action on sexual abuse and gender harassment.

I spoke to an audience of more than 1000 at a conference in March. Click here to see part of my speech.

I have even led debates in schools, recently in Stoke Newington School on women’s rights and another in Leeds on encouraging writing where 60 kids aged 7-9 years old wrote me a letter and I wrote 60 back. I then sat with all the kids and we went through the letters. Seeing their faces light up holding their letter as a prized possession and how much inspiration they took from this was so powerful.
